Resources for Parish Liturgical Ministers
The Episcopal Church's liturgy is a truly collaborative effort. Priest and deacon work in concert with lay ministers to craft the best liturgy we can. Through our ministries, we hope to inspire and support the whole people of God in their praise of God. We hope, above all, to glorify God in our ministry at the altar and among the assembly.

Liturgical Ministry Schedule
Scheduling is managed through an online resource called Ministry Scheduler Pro. Every liturgical minister is given a username and password so they can view their schedules, request substitutes, and accept additional volunteer assignments.

Resources for Lectors
As a lector, you're sharing the life-giving Word of God with the assembly! The more prepared you are with the text, the better your reading will be. You want to read the lessons beforehand, and practice out loud. Go to the Lectionary Page website, and click the date on the calendar when you'll be reading. You'll see the readings there. In the summer, you'll see Track 1 and Track 2 on the Lectionary Page site. We always use Track 2.
Remember that Lector 1 reads the first reading, and leads us in the Psalm (unless we sing it). Lector 2 reads the second reading and leads the prayers of the people.
